Two hurt when water line ruptures at Orlando resort

ORLANDO (AP) — Officials say two men and women were injured and many guests had been evacuated right after a hot water line ruptured at Universal Orlando’s Cabana Bay Resort.

A water line between the 1st and second floors ruptured just soon after 4 a.m. Tuesday, flooding the sections of the very first floor with hot water. The injured guests stepped into the hot water soon after becoming awakened by the activity in the hallways.

Fire officials told television stations the injured were taken to Dr. Phillips Hospital with minor burns on their feet.

The hotel relocated many guests to other parts of the hotel although the water line is being repaired.

No further particulars had been instantly accessible.
